- Develop and implement policies, techniques, and procedures to ensure production goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and control departmental budgets to ensure resource availability within financial constraints.
- Act as the primary liaison between the SDT (Simultaneous Development Team) and the launch team for new products.
- Oversee the implementation, preparation, and delivery of pre-serial production.
- Monitor and report on launch performance using key metrics (0-0-100-100-90) and continue performance tracking for 90 days post-launch.
- Coordinate plant readiness and support the development of action plans for unresolved launch issues.
- Collaborate with functional managers to implement product and process changes.
- Ensure proper management of production changes, including cost, product, and process modifications.
- Provide documentation, reports, and feedback as required by Adient standards.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with Adient procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Lead the engineering team to meet company and customer objectives.
- Promote high standards of conduct through personal example and ensure team members understand expected behaviors.
- Foster a culture of empowerment, creativity, and accountability by providing clear direction and continuous feedback.
- Monitor individual performance and provide coaching and feedback.
- Apply all necessary working procedures to perform job responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Recognize and respond to customer expectations and CR/CSR requirements with urgency, aiming to exceed expectations.
- Engineering degree
- Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience.
- Experience in a launch or new product introduction role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams during product launches.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions quickly.
