- In this position you will own and maintains country road freight tariffs with carriers on agreed validity
- You will have to review existing pricing rates and policies with carriers and network to initiate updates and changes based on market trend/current business requirements and maintain strong relationship with them.
- You will drive best pricing solutions to maximize profitability of road freight.
- You will have to ensure internal local and cross border rates input into the rate management system and validate it for auto costing, quotations, and auto rating.
- You will manage contract with suppliers, establish regular carrier meetings and ensures that these are conducted for all key carriers.
- You will have to analyze accepted/rejected quotes lane wise and negotiate with network and carriers for better rates.
- You will have to determine profit margin, support and follows up with sales, sales support, and customer service.
- You will have to source and provide spot rates to sales, customer service for all types of cargo to be moved by road.
- You will have to negotiate and procure best rates in market.
- You will be responsible in the execution of global procurement strategy and decisions (rates, process, etc.)
- You will have to monitors carrier/ station performance and initiates corrective actions.
- You execute operational shipments for customers allocated from booking from customer to booking with carrier to billing and updating all operational system. takes ownership for file control (profit, revenue, and cost)
- You will have to ensure timely billing of shipments executed and system update to ensure customer has full visibility.
- You will ensure use of carrier as per defined policy, maximizing profit for company.
- You will have to provide customer with full shipment visibility and movement as per customs compliance.
- You will have to ensure to maintain excellent relationship with DGF EU And Freight EU teams to manage rate procurement and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4-6 years of experience within the same field
- Excellent communicator in English, both written and oral.
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive can-do attitude and service excellence.
