Located in the municipality of Benguerir, in the very heart of the Green City, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University aspires to leave its mark nationally, continentally, and globally.Poste :The UM6P CoreLab is hiring an Engineer for The Analytical Chemistry Division. The CoreLab will serve as a platform to support technical and scientific research within UM6P and as a service provider to external customers. The Analytical Chemistry CoreLab engineer will oversee planning, directing, and coordinating the gas chromatography platform operations ensuring the satisfaction of both internal UM6P researchers and faculty as well as external clients. This facility will hold ultramodern analytical tools such as GCMS/MS, GC-HRMS, and others. We are specifically seeking candidates who possess extensive experience in designing and conducting experiments using gas chromatography instruments, and who excel in various areas, such as complex sample preparation techniques, method selection and development, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, and proficiency with software interfaces. Strong communication and analytical abilities are paramount for this role, as they play a crucial part in the successful execution of responsibilities.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Reception, processing, and classification of requests for analysis
Handling of samples to be analyzed: storage, conditioning, preparation, etc.
Independently perform hands-on experimental work utilizing gas chromatography and prepare reagents, solutions, and standards as required.
Develop, validate, and document analytical methods and operating procedures according to specific sample or testing requirements, and maintain quality control records to ensure efficient lab process management.
Review chromatographic and QA/QC data ensuring it meets established criteria and upload final results into the LIMS.
Oversee and conduct routine performance qualification of all gas chromatography instruments platform and ensure traceability of experiments.
Provide expert advice and essential recommendations based on acquired knowledge.
Generate comprehensive analysis reports, and interpretation and prepare well-written technical and scientific reports.
Organize and archive data.
Support researchers (Professors, PhDs, Post-Docs, and Scientists) and boost their research activities in the best conditions by making an excellent analysis and expertise service by different heavy techniques.
Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Participate and organize training and workshop programs on gas chromatography analysis techniques for fellow researchers.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedule for Auto-Sampler, GC, Ion Source and MS Detectors.
Provide the central warehouse with the necessary consumables and spare parts for scheduled maintenance.
Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Execute functional tests, calibration and tuning to uphold equipment precision.
Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Active involvement in various department activities.
Participate in the supply and stock management of the analytical chemistry division consumables.
Participate in the platform certification process (ISO17025).

Profil recherché :Candidate Qualifications:

Significant experience in GC, GCMSMS method development, and qualification will be given preference.
Proficiency in handling heavy equipment for analytical chemical characterization.
Experience in the user maintenance of analytical instruments, in particular Auto-Sampler, GC, ion source, and MS Detectors.
Strong collaborative skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and a proven record of teamwork.
Familiarity with lab safety protocols and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills (time and priority management)
Excellent communication skills (French and English).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task without compromising quality and accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
