Location: Morocco Casablanca Onsite/Hybrid/Remote/ShiftPurpose of Role:Weir Minerals Morocco needs a management accountant to be the primary point of contact for all finance related activities in Morocco. This role will report into the UK Financial Controller and will work closely with the UK finance team. The management accountant will be a leading the SAP transition process and then oversee all financial postings in the company’s SAP system and ensure that the right financial controls and processes are in place. The management accountant will work with the WBS shared service team in respect of accounts payable, cash applications and month end activities. This person will also work with Deloitte in the preparation of tax returns and be a key point of contact for the tax authorities, auditors and the bank. This role will support the UK finance team in respect of forecasts, cash collections and customer disputes. The accountant will work with the wider business / finance team on other ad-hoc requests as required.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and developing local finance team on site.
- Ensuring the transition from local accounting software to SAP global template.
- Overseeing and controlling financial postings
- Review of direct & indirect tax returns and responding to queries raised on a monthly basis. Being the primary point of contact for tax authorities.
- Maintain relations with local banks.
- Supporting other work in respect of the company’s taxation ie transfer pricing reports and tax investigations.
- Working with the UK finance team and external auditor in respect of the annual statutory accounts and audit. Being the primary point of contact for auditors.
- Assisting the UK finance team in respect of cash flow, customer collections, bank guarantees, customer disputes and customer payment terms.
- Overseeing the accounts payable process, ensure timely payments and reconciliations with suppliers.
- Assisting the UK finance team with the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and report on any variances
- Ensuring compliance with the Weir Group policies and the Weir Group Code of conduct.
- Working with the wider business in respect of cost control, review of commercial contracts and tenders, margin analysis.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required

- Excellent Oral and Written English
- Proven track record of SAP / ERP systems implementation
- Qualification in Accountancy
- Ability to work in a multinational / multi time zone environment
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardised situations.
- Understands and able to break down complex or diverse information; gathers and processes data to identify problems, draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Able to consider different options and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations; works well with others to advise, resolve problems, and implement solutions.
