This cutting-edge platform, based on the latest technologies in the HPC world, can deliver a performance of 3.15 PF.Roles and responsibilities

Provide support in areas such as instrumentation, data management, laboratory operations.
Collaborate with research faculty and other research computing personnel on the development of innovative application in advanced simulation, data analysis, visual analytics, or other computational techniques.
improve the capacity and engineering expertise of UM6P's research support program.
Identify novel and creative applications to accelerate the discovery process.
Coordinate with a team of Systems Administrators, Help Desk operators and external consultants to assist researchers.
Work to standardize services within a service portfolio and communicate them to various user communities.
Design, prepare and deliver trainings to researchers, students and faculty on computational methods and what HPC can bring to their respective fields.
Prepare and participate in meetings with representatives from the industry on how the University can help their research and development efforts.

Profil recherché :Mandatory Experience

Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, computer information systems, or other science and engineering disciplines, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Three years of experience in one or more of the following fields: computational science and engineering, high-performance computing or cloud computing.
Demonstrated knowledge of the research process, proposal lifecycle and data lifecycle.
Strong knowledge in Linux/Unix with extensive experience in building, installing, and maintaining open-source software in an HPC environment.
Strong understanding of high-performance computing topics as well as the data and programming efforts involved in HPC/Cloud.
Experience with manipulation and innovative analysis (e.g. novel algorithm development) of large data sets.
Experience with statistics and/or machine learning.
Proven ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and plans, implement project specifications, report project status, identify delays, and raise concerns.

Preferred Experience

PhD in the above-mentioned fields will be a plus.
System administration and IT certifications in Linux are a plus.
Datacenter and Cloud Services.
Appreciation for a range of scientific domains: Genomics, Molecular Chemistry, Satellite Imagery, etc.
