- Establish direct contact with quality managers at customer sites to resolve quality issues reported by the customer to protect them from potential defects.
- Request and track PPAP and IMDS approvals for components until they are 100% approved.
- Coordinate the PPAP process, submit PSWs by the estimated product date during engineering changes, during startups, or when requested by the customer;
- Ensure that quality issues are properly communicated to the factory.
- Retrieve the monitoring plan and FMEA for the family to be started.
- Monitor EIs.
- Coordinate problem-solving meetings by designating members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Alert the customer of site startup and delivered products.
- Retrieve harness and component drawings.
- Monitor and manage witness harnesses.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Plan projects.
- Receive and manage customer complaint files (8D, 48-hour response, 15-day action plan, 8D closure).
- Support the Production and Engineering teams in analyzing causes and developing action plans.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
- Participate in the implementation of FMEAs.
- Address internal anomalies and validate action plans.
- Act as an interface with the customer site and support the resident engineer.
- Ensure APQP and PPAP for new products.
- Ensure the determination of special characteristics.
- Monitor quality indicators such as IPPM, DPPM; RPPM, Warranty, Storting Cost, Rework.
- Monitor warranty complaints (8D, Response, Action Plan, 8D closure).
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations according to the seven key elements and ISO 14001.
- Support environmental management system activities
- Supervise client audits
- Ensure the establishment and review of the control plan
- Engineering / industrial technical degree.
- 2 years of exp as a quality engineer
- Proficiency in the 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Excellent APQP/PSW skills
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
